Club trip to the Tour of Pembrokeshire

Following the enjoyable weekend 9 of us spent at the Dragon Ride in 2019 we are looking to repeat the trick by entering an "away Sportive" in Pembrokeshire, the 2020 Tour of Pembrokeshire on the weekend of the 16th May.  Alan rode the Paul Ties route in 2019 and thought it probably the best organised and most enjoyable sportive he has ridden in.

There are a choice of four routes ranging from the Paul Sartori 21.4 mile family ride to the Paul Ties 103 mile ride all going through the beautiful Pembrokshire countryside... but it is tough with the three longer rides all going over the 400m Bwlch y Gwynt as well as a good number of shorter sharper hills as well.  Definitely one to have prepared for!

Pricing is in tiers depending on how late you leave your entry but the current Earlybird entry price of £35 (+ 8.5% booking fee) lasts until the end of September.  There is also free entry available for people who commit to a minimum level of fundraising for one of the ride's chosen charities, check the ToP website for details.

The ToP organise taster "ride outs" through the year leading up to the event so you can go down and try out bits of the routes before the main event.

If you decide to enter then please let Alan, Rob or Alex know so that we can include you in any group activities and please put "Wellesbourne Wheelers" as your club.  If you have any questions about the ride have a word with Alan.
