NOTE CHANGE OF START LOCATION

 

 

Meet at Pillerton Priors in the layby located on A422 just before the turn to Halford GR 28950  47583.

From here set off along A422 taking the right hand turn to Oxhill.

Then on to Whatcote, Aylesmore, Brailles, Stourton, Whichford, Ascott, Whichford Hill to cross roads, here take a right towards Great Rollright followed by another right turn just before Great Rollright to Wyatts tearooms (half way) (wonderful views along this stretch)

 

Return down Butlers Hill  (care needed sharp hill with nasty left hand bend at bottom), Long Compton, Harrow Hill, through Weston Park Estate to Cherrington then on to Willington, Honington, Idlicote, Fullready back to Pillerton Priors.

 

Total distance 28 miles with 623 meters ascent/descent.  Tough hill on Whichford Hill, hence the diversion by Ascott to avoid nasty blind bend, sharp descent down Butlers Hill and short sharp ascent up Harrow Hill, otherwise relatively easy cycling.
