Title: Dene Ride - 12 May 2022
Post by: DavidSeal on 12 May 2022, 18:18
A lovely day for a ride, with frequent sunny spells. 10 left Wellesbourne and 2 more joined in Kineton. The party of 12 split later into 2 sixes and then 3 left for other commitments and we were down to 9.

Moreton Paddox, Kineton and Tysoe were quickly passed, followed by the main climb of the day, out of Tysoe up Lady Elizabeth's Hill. This was followed by Sibford Gower, Burdrop and Sibford Ferris. The topography of Burdrop proved a challenge, with a steep downhill immediately followed by a steep uphill.

A back road took us towards Ascott and then the coffee stop at Whichford Pottery. From there we went through Stourton, Brailes, Honnington, Fulready, Pillerton Priors, Walton and home.

39.2 miles at 13.6mph, 2418ft of climbing.

Riders: Martin, Steve, Andy, Mike, Dave T, Chris, Jane, John S, John T, Richard, Geoff, Dave S
