On a hot humid Thursday morning 9 of us left the Rec for a 50 mile outing. The route started with the short warm up Atherston climb, on to Ilmington, across to Mickleton and then it was the Campden Road climb. Through a busy Chipping Campden that included narrowly missing an over enthusiastic road side fan, luckily a good shout did the trick, although he missed getting his smart phone selfie with Gary.
The final longest climb was up past the quarries to the A44 - a good Strava segment one. Then down to Blockley with coffee at Veg. Matters. After dodging the showers the 4 hardier riders outside finished their wet coffee, while the insiders were the dry sensible ones. To complete the shorter flat run home was polished off in a good time avoiding the showers and maybe saving on a bike wash.
