It appears that there has been some sort of financial fraud or confidence trick involving the owners of Foxy Brown's and it is indeed closed. [There has been a television expose]
There was a branch of Foxy Brown's in Stratford (next to the Garrick - now an ice cream parlour, prior to Foxy Brown's it was a shoe shop) owned by the same people, which went bust a few years ago.
