Dene Ride

Slightly amended plan for our 100 a few turns were tidied up. 

This is a Park & Ride it does not start in Wellesbourne

Meeting place 08:00 at The Beckford Inn GL20 7AN on the A46.

Park in the lay by in front of the pub there is plenty of room and Andy may want to sample a pint of Butcombe ale at the end of the ride (rooms are also available).

Option on 100km or both loops for 100ml.

First loop 63 ml

Beckford, Aston Somerville, Childswickham, Wickhamford, Badsey, Honeybourne, Pebworth, Mickleton, Cafe 24ml, Long Maston, Bidford, Flyford Flavel, Naunton Beauchamp, Bishampton cafe 50ml, Fladbury, Elmley Castle, Beckford Cafe.

Second loop 38 ml

Beckford, Bredon, Northway, Tredington, Gotherington, Winchcombe, Hailes Abbey - Cafe 25ml, Stanway, Wormington, Alderton and finally The Beckford Inn.

There are no big hills but there are a few bits that do go upwards, the day is a long one taken at a steady pace and there were plenty of additional places to stop for refreshments if needed.

If we average 12 mph that is 8.5 hours for both loops, 4 cafe stops of 30 minutes is getting on for 11 hours riding. That is a 08:00 start and 19:00 finish anything before is a good day. The last planned cafe stop may be altered as it shuts at 17:00.
